Banff National Park is home to many animals such as elk, moose, mountian goats, and bears.
It is necessary to take the proper precautions in case you encounter any of these wild animals, particularly bears.
- Always bring bear spray
- Never go solitary, stay in groups of at least 4
- Never leave children alone
- Stay on marked trails
- Make loud noises when hiking or biking to alert nearby animals
